Through its energy services, IGRETEC extends its vocation from ‘economic developer’ to include the role of ‘investor’ for local energy projects in favour of the town/cities and communes of the Charleroi and Thuin districts.

INVESTMENTS IN ENERGY EFFICIENCY

The energy services offered to the town/cities and the communes in Sector 3 of IGRETEC enable the provision of new means of improving the energy efficiency of their real estate assets. The aim is to meet the European, federal and regional requirements on controlling energy consumption.

The principle is as follows: IGRETEC acts as third-party investor offering turnkey solutions in terms of improving the energy efficiency of various municipal buildings. The reimbursement is achieved partly thanks to energy savings. One of the advantages of calling upon this service is that this means of financing does not impact on the borrowing capacity of the town/cities and communes.

The investments may concern all aspects linked to the rational use of energy in buildings, i.e. insulation, heating and hot water installations, lighting, ventilation, the production of renewable energy, etc.
